It’s often overwhelming to determine if an elderly loved one needs professional assistance at home – and then to find available, competent and affordable resources. Care coordinators at Alliance are available to talk you through your situation and help you find the resources you need to ensure safety at home. Medical Devices
Alliance assists our clients and their family members in learning to effectively use medical devices to assist in maintaining mobility and safety at home. These medical devices include:
- Wheelchairs
- Walkers
- Blood Pressure and Heart Rate Monitors
- Glucose Meters
- Portable Oxygen Tanks
Medical Monitoring
Alliance will work with our clients and their family members to proactively implement health and safety monitoring practices. Services include:
- Manage wandering with motion detectors, door/window alarms, pressure-sensitive floor mats
- Installation and monitoring of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
- Home use of a programmed medication dispensing unit to organize medications as well as remind clients when to take medications
- “Virtual Care” via live video includes camera, computer and phone or Internet to enable visual checks on family members or loved ones
TeleHealth
Through an easy-to-use device installed in our clients’ homes, vital statistics can be remotely monitored seven days a week by a nurse. The information can be relayed to Alliance four times a day via the Internet. The device is customizable according to our clients’ disease diagnosis and can be programmed to ask disease-specific questions of the client. The device can measure: heart rate, blood pressure, weight, oxygen saturation, temperature, glucose and more.
